Change of Hands: Evaluation

Film and TV

Evaluation of filming

Overall our filming went quite well and I am pleased with most of the footage we acquired. My role during filming was one of the actors and behind the camera for the first few shots. The topic we were given was “a change in hands”, we were asked to film a short film in which some sort of package was exchanged between two or more individuals, we had to use natural lighting and DSLR cameras to film. The film had to be at least a minute long, have 20 shots edited in and must have no dialogue. During filming there were a few issues as we had people walking into shots causing us to retake the shot several times. We also had people talking in the background so we had to remove all diegetic and ambient sounds from the film, we replaced this with soundtracks that we found online that weren’t copyrighted. There was an issue with editing as all three of us involved had contrasting ideas which can be seen in the overall film.
